I was utterly fascinated by the referenced red wooden box, obviously created with great love for a child... with a decal of a penguin shaving and a promise of treasures inside, very private, very sacred. The toy tiger prowls the lip of the drawer in pursuit of a rolling marble - an element that reoccurs in many of my still life paintings.
I was very gratified by the success of the illusion and the warmth of the work.
