My mother had given me the pin cushion, complete with baby and newspaper clipping, which she had found in a junk shop. At this period in my development, I was ready to take off into the unknown, replete with risks, hope and a new love for life. All I needed was the faith of a mustard seed, a nurturing mother's love, the strength of a Samurai warrior, the clarity and roll of a marble, the endurance of a camel and a biplane to take off to the heavens to soar with the words of Ralph Waldo Emerson as my compass. Thus began my "Birth of Success."
